Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and Pastium (“Pastium,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Pastium app for macOS and this website. By downloading, installing, or using Pastium, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Pastium on Mac computers you own or control, for your own use.

You agree not to:

• copy, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except where the law expressly permits it;
• remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices;
• circumvent the trial, licensing, or feature limits described below.

New users can start with a 7-day free trial with full features. Pastium Pro is a single monthly subscription, at the price shown for your region in the App Store before you subscribe. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically and renews each month until you cancel. You can cancel anytime through your Apple App Store account settings.

Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple’s terms. Pricing and the features included in the plan may change; any change applies going forward and will not affect a billing period you have already paid for. Refunds, where applicable, are handled by Apple under its policies.

You are responsible for how you use Pastium and for the content you store with it. Do not use Pastium to break the law, to infringe the rights of others, or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the app or its related services.

Pastium stores the items you copy on your device, and optionally in your own iCloud. That content is yours. We do not claim ownership of it and, as described in our Privacy Policy, we do not access it. You are solely responsible for backing up and managing your data.

Pastium Pro includes optional AI actions (Summarize, Rewrite, and Suggest Label). They are off until you enable them, and they require a Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer) running macOS 26 or later, with Apple Intelligence enabled in System Settings. Macs that do not meet these requirements cannot use the AI features; this is a platform limitation rather than a defect in the app, and the rest of Pastium remains fully functional on them.

These features are powered by the on-device language model that Apple provides through the operating system. Their availability, capabilities, and behavior are determined by Apple and may change, degrade, or be withdrawn through macOS updates, outside our control. Apple’s model applies its own safety limits, so a request may occasionally be declined or return no result.

AI output is machine-generated and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose. It is a starting point, not a finished result. You are responsible for reviewing it before you rely on it, paste it, or send it to someone else, and for the consequences of doing so. Rewrite deliberately shows you a preview first and does not alter your clipboard until you choose to copy the result.

As described in our Privacy Policy, these features run entirely on your device. We do not receive, store, or process the content you run them on, and we do not use it to train any model.

Pastium, including its software, design, logos, and name, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Pastium relies on services provided by Apple, including macOS, the App Store, and iCloud. Your use of those services is governed by Apple’s own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or for any changes they make.

Pastium is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pastium will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to Pastium will not exceed the amount you paid for it, if any.

You may stop using Pastium at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your license if you breach these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, will continue to apply.

We may update Pastium and these Terms from time to time. When we change the Terms, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of Pastium after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved this way will be subject to the competent courts of Vietnam.

Pastium is available worldwide. If you use it as a consumer, nothing in this section takes away the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, including any right to bring a claim in the courts there where those laws allow it.
